The Early Learning Centre of Ahalia Public School, Palakkad, successfully conducted the Kids’ Athletic Meet 2025–26 on 9 January 2026 at the school playground. The event was organized with the objective of promoting physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship among young learners.
The meet was inaugurated by Mr. Raju P, Academic Coordinator. Students from Classes LKG to II participated enthusiastically in various track and field events, displaying remarkable energy, discipline, and sportsmanlike spirit.
The Athletic Meet was conducted in two categories to ensure age-appropriate participation. Category 1 (LKG & UKG) included events such as 50 m run, standing broad jump, ball throw, obstacle race, and lemon and spoon. Preliminary rounds for ball throw and standing broad jump were conducted earlier, and qualified students advanced to the next level, while all students participated in the remaining events.
Category 2 (Classes I & II) also featured the same five events. Preliminary rounds for 50 m run, standing broad jump, and ball throw were held in advance, with selected students competing in the final rounds. The obstacle race and lemon and spoon events were open to all students.
The meet witnessed excellent participation, smooth coordination by the Physical Education Department, and commendable discipline and sportsmanship among students, making the event a memorable and successful experience.
