The educational tour for Classes 11 and 12 was organised from 12 December 2025 to 14 December 2025 with the objective of providing students an enriching learning experience through travel, nature exploration, and exposure to cultural and geographical landmarks. The tour was well planned and executed with the support of APPA’s Holidays, ensuring safety, comfort, and discipline throughout the journey.

Day 1 – Friday (12/12/2025)

The tour commenced early in the morning at 4:00 AM from Ahalia Public School, Kanjikode, after taking attendance and safety instructions by the accompanying teachers. The journey to Vagamon was pleasant, and breakfast was arranged on the way. Upon reaching Vagamon, students visited the Pine Forest and Vagamon Meadows, where they enjoyed the serene environment, lush greenery, and cool climate. These locations provided an excellent opportunity for nature appreciation and group interaction.

Lunch was arranged thereafter, followed by a visit to the Ayyappankovil Hanging Bridge, which was one of the most exciting experiences for the students. The bridge visit offered adventure and scenic beauty. In the evening, the group checked in at Hotel Highrange Villa, Ramakkalmedu. Students enjoyed pool time under strict supervision, with safety guidelines such as compulsory nylon attire being followed. The day concluded with a campfire session, dinner, and an overnight stay at the resort.

Day 2 – Saturday (13/12/2025)

The second day began with breakfast at the resort. After check-out, the group proceeded to Ramakkalmedu, a journey of approximately one and a half hours. One of the major highlights of the tour was the off-road jeep trekking arranged at Ramakkalmedu. The thrilling ride through rugged terrain provided students with an adventurous and memorable experience.

After the jeep trekking, lunch was served, followed by a visit to the famous Kuravan and Kurathi Statue, where students learned about the cultural and historical significance of the site. The tour then continued to Calvary Mount, where students enjoyed a one-side jeep

ride to the viewpoint. The panoramic views from Calvary Mount left a lasting impression on everyone. On the return journey, dinner was arranged at a suitable location, ensuring comfort and convenience for the students.

Day 3 – Sunday (14/12/2025)

The return journey was smooth, and the group reached the school campus safely at around 2:30 AM. Teachers ensured that all students were handed over responsibly, marking the successful completion of the tour.

Overall Experience

The three-day educational tour was a highly successful and memorable experience for the students. It helped them develop social skills, teamwork, and independence while also exposing them to nature, adventure activities, and cultural landmarks. The students maintained good discipline throughout the tour and actively participated in all activities. The arrangements made for transportation, accommodation, food, and sightseeing were commendable.

Overall, the tour achieved its educational and recreational objectives, leaving the students with cherished memories and valuable learning experiences beyond the classroom.
