Inspiring Young Minds: Interactive Session on Rocket Science at APS

An interactive session was  successfully organized at Ahalia Public School, Palakkad, for the students of Classes IX and XI on 11 March 2026. The session was conducted by Shri Sheeju Chandran, Scientist at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, Thiruvananthapuram.

Shri Sheeju Chandran delivered an insightful and informative talk on the fundamentals of rocket propulsion. His presentation was marked by clarity and simplicity, enabling students to grasp complex scientific concepts with ease. The session was highly engaging and effectively captured the attention and interest of the audience.

Following a short break, a second interactive session was conducted for students from Classes VI to XII. Around 25 students actively participated by raising thoughtful and insightful questions. Shri Sheeju Chandran responded to each query with patience and encouragement, appreciating the curiosity and enthusiasm displayed by the students.

The programme proved to be highly inspiring and educational, significantly enhancing students’ understanding of space science and rocket technology. It also motivated them to develop a deeper interest in scientific exploration and innovation.
