The school organized a one-day tour to Kanthaloor and Marayoor for students and teachers. The tour aimed to provide educational exposure, promote social interaction, and offer students an opportunity to experience the natural beauty of a hill station. The team began the journey from the school on the 6th morning at 5:15 a.m.
Itinerary and Places Visited
Throughout the trip, students visited several important locations, each offering unique learning experiences:
The tour contributed significantly to the students’ knowledge and skills.
1. Jeep Trekking – An adventurous activity that gave students an opportunity to explore the terrain and enjoy off-road travel.
Improved understanding of hill station geography, climate, and vegetation. Increased confidence through adventure activities like jeep trekking
2. Brahmaram Shooting Spot – A scenic location where students observed film shooting areas and enjoyed the view.
3. Muruka Mala – A hilltop that offered panoramic views and a peaceful atmosphere.
Development of teamwork, cooperation, and social interaction.
4. Jaggery Factory – Students learned about the traditional method of jaggery production and the functioning of local industries.
5. Waterfalls – Students experienced the beauty of natural waterfalls and learned about the importance of conserving natural resources. Appreciation of nature and understanding the importance of environmental protection
Strengthened teacher–student bonding through shared experiences.
6. Campfire &DJ – A recreational activity organized in the evening, encouraging teamwork and enjoyment.
This was the most enjoyable part of our tour, as students danced energetically and celebrated the days experiences. The music and lively atmosphere created a joyful environment, allowing children to enjoy themselves freely.
All 219 students showed great enthusiasm throughout the journey. For many of them, this was a first-time visit to a hill station, making the experience exciting and memorable. Their active participation in each activity reflected their curiosity and eagerness to learn.
The tour concluded successfully with the group returning to school on the 6th at 12:00 pm. The trip was educational, enjoyable, and enriching for all participants. It provided valuable learning experiences that extended beyond the classroom and created lasting memories for the students.
