Exploring Nature’s Wonders : A Visit to KFRI, Thrissur

The Class 8 students visited the Kerala Forest Research Institute (KFRI), Thrissur, on 24.11.25, to enhance their understanding of forest ecosystems, biodiversity conservation, and environmental protection. During the visit, they took a guided tour of the Bamboo Museum, Herbal Garden, Entomology Museum, and other facilities, gaining hands-on experience and interactive learning. The students learned about forest management, wildlife research, and environmental protection, observing medicinal plants, insect species, and native tree saplings. They interacted with KFRI scientists and staff, gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of scientific research in conserving forests and wildlife. The visit was highly educational and enriching, inspiring students to take responsibility for protecting the environment.
