Maker Skill – Activity 1: Catapult

A catapult is a simple device used to launch small objects. In this activity, we make a simple catapult using easily available materials such as ice-cream sticks, rubber bands and a bottle cap.

The catapult works by storing and releasing energy. When the lever is pressed and released, the stored energy throws the object forward. This activity helps us understand force, energy and motion.

By making a catapult, we develop our creativity, problem-solving, observation and making skills .
