As part of the Pongal celebration, a pot painting activity was conducted for Classes I and II. The activity aimed to familiarize students with the cultural significance of Pongal and the tradition of decorating pots, which symbolizes prosperity, gratitude, and new beginnings.
Students enthusiastically participated in painting pots using bright colours and traditional designs. Through this activity, students learned the importance of love, cooperation, and togetherness, as they shared materials and helped one another. The discussion on Pongal helped them understand values such as wisdom, gratitude towards nature, and harmony within the community.
The activity was engaging, meaningful, and well received by the students, helping them connect art with cultural values.
