Ahalia Public School buzzed with democracy on 03 July 2026 as students from Classes VI to XII cast their votes in the Students’ Cabinet Election 2026–27. Held at the A.V. Hall from 10:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., the election saw an impressive 95% turnout, showcasing students’ enthusiasm for school governance.
Organized by the Commerce and Social Science Department, the poll was conducted through a mobile phone-based Electronic Voting Machine system. Class VI students began the process, followed systematically by senior classes. Principal, management, Election Committee members, staff and student volunteers, and the technical support team ensured a smooth, fair, and transparent process.
The initiative aimed to give students practical exposure to democratic procedures while building leadership, responsibility, and decision-making skills. Beyond choosing representatives, students learned the value of civic participation and peaceful voting.
Concluding at 3:45 p.m., the election successfully entrusted new cabinet members with leading school activities for the year. The programme, prepared by Smitha Devadas, HOD, Social Science Department, marked another step in nurturing responsible young leaders at Ahalia.
