Syllabus Garden

The school has developed a Syllabus Garden where plants included in the students’ curriculum are grown and displayed within the school campus. This initiative provides students with an opportunity to learn about plants through direct observation and hands-on experience, rather than relying only on textbooks and pictures. By seeing and studying the plants in their natural form, students can easily understand their characteristics, uses, growth patterns, and importance.

Learning Outcomes

Through the Syllabus Garden, students:

  • Identify and observe plants mentioned in their syllabus in real life.
  • Connect textbook concepts with practical experience.
  • Understand the structure, characteristics, and uses of different plants.
  • Develop better observation and scientific enquiry skills.
  • Gain hands-on knowledge through plant care and maintenance.
  • Develop greater interest in botany, nature, and environmental studies.
  • Retain concepts better through experiential and activity-based learning.
