Independence Day 2024

Independence Day celebrations at Ahalia Public School were conducted with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour on the 15th of August 2024. The event began with a solemn Prayer to invoke blessings for the nation and its people.
Following the prayer, the Flag Hoisting ceremony took place. The tricolour was hoisted by our esteemed Chief Guests, Subedar Major Madhusudhanan N and Junior Warrant Officer Ananthakrishnan N, in the presence of our Principal, Mrs. C. Latha Prakash, and the section heads. As the flag unfurled, the gathering paid tribute through a respectful Flag Salute, marking the start of the celebrations.
The March Past by the school cabinet members, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of the band, added grandeur to the event. The students displayed discipline and coordination, making the ceremony a memorable spectacle. This was followed by the Guard of Honour, a moment of pride for the school as the students showcased their dedication and respect for the national leaders and the country.
A delightful Rally by the students of UKG took place, where the youngest members of our school marched with colourful placards and slogans. Their enthusiasm and energy were contagious as they spread messages of unity, peace, and patriotism to the local community.
The students of Classes 1 and 2 took the stage next, enacting the lives of various national leaders in a captivating performance. Their Enacting Leaders presentation highlighted the sacrifices and contributions of the great personalities who played pivotal roles in India’s independence.
The Speech by the School President, Punarth of Class 12, followed the enactment. He spoke eloquently about the significance of the day, urging fellow students to honour the sacrifices of our freedom fighters by being responsible citizens and contributing positively to society.
Our Chief Guests, Subedar Major Madhusudhanan N and Junior Warrant Officer Ananthakrishnan N, then delivered their Message. They shared their experiences in the armed forces and emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and patriotism in every citizen’s life. Their words inspired everyone present, especially the young minds, to be proud of their heritage and to work diligently for the nation’s progress.
The Principal, Mrs. C. Latha Prakash, also addressed the gathering, expressing her pride in the students’ performances and her hope for their bright futures. She highlighted the significance of independence and the role of education in building a strong, self-reliant nation.
The event continued with a soulful Patriotic Song, which stirred feelings of pride and unity among all present. This was followed by a vibrant Dance performance by the students, showcasing the diverse cultural heritage of India and bringing the event to life with their colourful and energetic presentation.
The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, a powerful reminder of our unity and strength as a nation. Following the anthem, sweets were distributed to all students, adding a sweet note to the end of the day’s proceedings.
