LITNOVA 2026

LITNOVA 2026, the English Fest of Ahalia Public School, was conducted on 8 August 2026 as an innovative, house-wise language-learning initiative for students from Classes III to XII. The fest was designed to extend English learning beyond conventional classroom practices by providing authentic and engaging opportunities for students to use language in real-life contexts.

The innovative approach of LITNOVA lay in its integration of language skills, creativity, communication, critical thinking and collaborative learning through a wide range of experiential activities. Events such as Product Launch, Mock Interview, Live Reporting, News Reading, Pair Anchoring and Debate enabled students to apply English for purposeful communication, while Spelling Marathon, Phonics, Choral Reading, Storytelling and Translation strengthened linguistic accuracy, fluency and expression.

The fest followed a learning-by-doing approach, with individual, pair and group activities catering to varied abilities and learning styles. Students were encouraged to demonstrate spontaneity, articulate ideas, collaborate with peers and respond to authentic communication situations. The house-wise format further promoted participation, teamwork and healthy peer interaction.

LITNOVA thus served as a platform for experiential and competency-based language learning, helping students develop confidence, creativity, communication skills and critical thinking while making English learning purposeful and enjoyable.

The practice reflects the school’s commitment to moving from language learning to language use, creating meaningful opportunities for students to Speak, Shine and Soar.
