Ahalia School of Media Studies and Future Technologies, in collaboration with Ahalia Heritage Village and Ahalia Public School, organized a workshop on Augmented Reality titled “SEE THE FUTURE” at the Ahalia Sculpture Park, Palakkad, on Thursday, 20th June 2024, from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The workshop commenced with an introduction and orientation talk by Mr Jibbu Sir from Media Park and Pradeep Sir. Mr. Sanju Surendran, a national award-winning film director, elaborated on the importance, scope, and applications of Augmented Reality. The key session, led by resource person Vimal Raju, delved into AR’s procedures and methods in the film industry, demonstrated through hands-on activities with students. Students scanned sculptures to create 3D images and applied AR techniques. After lunch, Dr. Varma Sir, discussed the significance and mysteries of sculptures, followed by Vimal Raju’s practical insights into augmented reality, concluding a day of immersive learning and exploration.
